Bio

I’m an investigative journalist with past publications including Discover, Philadelphia magazine, the Washington Post and Rolling Stone. I’ve covered pretty much everything—politics, courts, cops, business and science. I spent six years at Resolve Philly, where I developed the Our Kids project to create solutions-oriented coverage of the foster care system. I enjoyed four years during that time as a Stoneleigh Fellow and also serve as a Poynter Adjunct, teaching fellow media professionals—and learning from them—about how to cover the child welfare system. I’ve also got a deep and abiding interest in cultural issues, particularly dealing with how we handle religion, conspiracy theories and the paranormal. Everyone has a story to tell, and working in journalism is a tremendous honor: People entrust me with the most intimate details of their lives, and I have to do their stories justice.
